Things done in the name of religion

Sunday, December 25th, 2011

Now, rightly so, you are critical of the actions done in the name of religion. Once again, I am NOT talking about religion. religion is very different than having a living relationship with a living God and the TRUE living God. You make reference to the crusades….yes, that is the classic communistic mindset argument which you have bought into 100%. The crusades were HORRIBLE and never should have happened. They were done by men under the influence of not God, even though they called it God…it was NOT of God, clearly because of the FRUIT that was manifested in their behaviors. Anything OF GOD will bear GOOD FRUIT! So, you mentioning stoning women who commit adultery….that is of the muslim faith which is absolutely a false religion and yes, millions have been led astray. Today, all over the globe, Jesus Christ is showing up to Muslims in dreams and visions and they are giving their lives to HIM, and turning their backs on Allah, recognizing that they have believed a lie their entire lives. Look at the fruit of the muslim religion….all infidels must die. Never once did Jesus teach to kill your enemies…he said to love your enemies and do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you. Do all Christian believers do this? No. Not even I do this perfectly, because I’m not perfect. So, because I am not a perfect Christian I should throw the baby out with the bathwater and say my belief and faith is a delusion? That’s ridiculous!

Anger

Sunday, December 25th, 2011

I hear much, much deep-seated anger in you in these last two posts. I’m sorry about that because it seems you have moved from having an open discussion with the willingness to consider other ideas to battening down the hatches, going on the attack, judging others, making sweeping generalizations, making unfounded accusations against “ALL people who believe in God” just because you yourself don’t share their revelation of the living God, and therefore anyone who doesn’t think in the exact same way that you do is utterly wrong, stupid, delusional, ignorant, and is holding you and the rest of the “intelligent” world back. You have proven, through your arguments, to be one of the most closed-minded individuals, hard-core, “I am my own god and to hell with the rest of the world” kind of individuals. This makes me sad….not because I want you to change but because you are clearly a very angry young man, which is evidenced by your discussion here of late, and you have been deeply hurt in life to have had to narrow your mind to the point of making rash judgements. That said, let me address some of your personal accusations toward the things that have happened in my life.

My cat’s kidneys: it was SCIENTIFICALLY DOCUMENTED that his kidney was DEAD….READ THIS: DEAD…NOT FUNCTIONING. WHY, do you insist that it must be something different? I know why: because you yourself, with your own eyes have not been presented 65 doctors reports that confirm that his kidney was dead. You will never accept that 3 doctors in the same vet clinic  NO LESS,…..proved that his kidney was DEAD. Hello,  wake up and smeill the coffee! You don’t have an explanation and that bugs the crud out of you because you have scientific evidence right in front of you that now says his kidney is fully functional and healthy as ever when it was DEAD! But, because you have already drawn your own conclusions that there is no God, you will never accept that explanation that is scientifically proven that he was supernaturally healed with NO MEDICATION nor physical intervention on any mans’ part. Now about limbs being grown out: I could easily find you medical evidence, if I had the time to do so. But I don’t want to waste my time at this point because you have already judged that anything that doesn’t fit into your limited, small capacity for what is real and what is not won’t fit. You will find some way to try to discredit it because you have made yourself god, and you like it that way because that is a safe place to live for you. It’s controllable. Being out of control terrifies you; not having an answer terrifies you.

Old and New Testament

Sunday, December 25th, 2011

Pro: I haven’t been answering because i’ve been reading the bible, and would only like to continue this conversation after i finished reading at least the old testament. at this point, i think i need to be acquainted with not only the “kill the gay people” parts, but the rest of it as well; so stay tuned.

Ok, sounds good…however, you should also read the New Testament, and while you’re at it, even though you don’t believe there is a God, do me a favor. If you truly DO want to believe in God, as you said you do, then genuinely ASK HIM to give you revelation as you read. :-) It’s easy to read it wanting to shoot it down; it’s another thing to read it being willing and open to an encounter with the living God. Just sayin…. :-) Have a great time and check in when you are ready!

Shall we worship dead gods?

Sunday, December 25th, 2011

I am still working on compiling some scientists for you to read. Sorry for my busyness is keeping me from doing that with any fervor. Let me address you…I believe your argument about finding the divine everywhere is good on one level: you have reached the conclusion that the divine exists. Now, does it matter “which” divine? You may think no, but I believe it does because I’m sure as he will “argue”, not all of them can be correct. That you sense and know the divine demonstrates what I already pointed out regarding the God-shaped vacuum inside every person. Now, because we are living creatures, that God must be a living god, not a dead god like so many religions worship. Otherwise, it would make no sense. So right away, one can pretty much toss out religions that worship dead gods or even concepts. That’s where the argument about the Truth of the Living God, as manifested in our human form in the person of Jesus Christ rises to the surface. If Jesus lived a human life, died and rose again from the dead, then everyone on the planet needs to grapple with that claim. Taking it one step further, you really only have three options regarding Jesus: he was either a liar and deceived multitudes in his day and in subsequent milleniums, a lunatic (which would be evidenced by inconsistencies and irrational behavior) or he was who he said he was, the son of God. You cannot simply say he was a great teacher because then you have to dismiss the miracles (both then and today) and you have to call him a liar because he claimed to be God, which would also mean he’s a lunatic and delusional. I do want to say to Aron about your description of love….this is good and right. Love is not simply a chemical reaction based on biology because as you have noted, there are different kinds of love. I’m assuming that you, Bence, will say that different chemical reactions occur and so different “feelings” of love come forth in the different situations but we call them all ‘love’. I think that is a huge stretch and more probable is that the emotion of love is a spiritual thing that manifests chemically and then physically. Let me toss out another question:  where do morals stem from? (by the way, this is so much fun for me!)
